Changing DIC Color
Changing DIC Color
Hello all.
I am interested in changing my DIC color from the boring green like this: http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...679_8_full.jpg
To red. Has anybody done it before? I heard about the sharpy mod, but not interested in that mostly because it doesnt last. And the only "interior light change" ive seen is for the HVAC or radio lights. Havent seen one for anybody changing the DIC color. So anybody done it? Would be great if there was a how-to with pics.

pulled the needles and the gauge face off,and colored the screen with a sharpy.it's been like that for a couple years and I have not had to re do it.I colored the screen itself, and the plastic cover for the screen thats on the faceplate.Notice it will be a bit darker to see during the day,but you can still see it,when it starts getting dark though,it looks awesome.
I tried it without any tips and I think I did it the best way ever.
Deconstruct the Cluster, remove the Needles and the Faceplate.
From behind the Faceplate take a cloth with a touch of Acetone and wipe the DIC until it's clear, then
wipe it again with Glass Cleaner. It remove the Blue/Green Tint. Just buy a sheet of Red Film it's 0,50$ in any Art store, and cut a piece that fit the DIC then glue/scotch tape it from behind. Reassemble the Cluster and done. This is mine, sorry I don't have a better Pic.

Interesting I hadn't realized that, guess I was thinking of the Solstice DIC. Well next best bet is to go the acetone method and do everything in red going back together. The Green DIC might look real off with red film covering it. Might want to try another color film to cover that to get a decent color.
