chevy emblem on front bumper

I am lookin to get rid of the chevy emblem on my front bumper and replace it with either an "ss" or just get rid of it all together. I was wonderin if anybody knows of a kit to do so, or where I could find the badges.

there isnt any sort of kit. when u remove the bowtie there is going to be holes where the mounting bolts were at. you can cover them with the SS badge but possibly not all the way which would require you to fill in the holes with something like bondo. you can get the badges online or from your local dealership

I think the Silverado "SS" badge will cover the holes. It's a bit bigger than ours. I don't mean high jack your thread, but anyone know where they have carbon fiber bowtie overlays?

Theres a couple of vendors on Ebay that sell precut overlays for the SS badges. I just used some of the left over vinyl from my stripe install and did them all in dark charcoal.

Why not just paint it, that way you dont have to get rid of the holes, and the thin bumper area doesnt have a weird shape with no bowtie. You could color-match, or just black cause it goes with any color car.

BTW, what color is your car?

^ Second that.. I painted mine black recently. And I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. I was going to do the SS logo but since the grille wasn't perfect because of the shape of the bowtie it bothered me.

Yea, I just painted mine, and left the silver part un-painted.

Isnt there a whole thread about what people did with their bowties?

Here is one, although I know there is more...
