Get some Silver vinyl and try again, Vinyl looks alot better because its pretty much already finished after you put it on.

This Vinyl overlay literally took me like 10 minutes to do. I had some White vinyl laying around in the garage I had no plans on using so here it is in White:

I'm mixed about the results. It has 0 illumination behind the vinyl. I might end up doing nite shades on it but I don't know exactly....

Same here. Glad I have a black car. Tons of niteshade coats, and lots of clear. Matches the car perfectly, can barely tell they're there.

I like the sidemarker, Breaks it up a bit. ive tinted mine so dark red on white looks good.

so out of all the ricer **** that is available for these cars there STILL isnt a clear side marker available? i just dont want bright red ish on my bumper anymore...

Find a shop that does wraps for cars. There is a Perforated vinyl that is meant to go over windows that has a bunch oh holes in it so you can see through it. You see it all the time on bus and train wraps. Have them print it to match your paint. You won't get an exact match because it is cmyk but it should be close enough. Once you put it on it will look opaque but the light should show through the holes. This is not what it is meant for so try testing it first to make sure enough light gets through to give the effect you want.
