Does anyone know how to clear the taillights for the cobalt?

 

mold them out of clear plastic.. there isnt really a way that i know of that you can "de-color" colorized plastics

I really can't say enuff how much I hate the r-word. Its so 1999. pfft.

 

I have not seen any ass of yet, for sale or on cars. I live in an area where i'll see them on car before they are for sale, i don't know where they find them. Personally I think they are stupid and a waist of money, but i'm into fast cars not cars that go loud. I expect that many companies will offer them before too long.

as for the clear lights, i think they would look bad ass. but i have not found them yet either.

 

I posted Fightrice.com to show people that clear tail light are ghetto and It

shows how a nice looking car can end up looking like junk. Yes it is my own opinion and yes

you can post alot of ideas with out being called a ricer. Those would include thing that help

improve the looks of a car, lowering it, rims, HID's, Tint, Bodykit(depending on which one). It

seems to me that replacing a fully functional part with one that does not improve anything is a waist.

I think clear lights look good on some applications. Tail lights are not something I'd change on the cobalts. I've seen pics and I am not impressed. The red makes them stand out and look sharp.

Although, if you like clears, put them on. I saw a pic, I think its just a SEMA car though. I have seen them sell parts, those might be something they'd sell you.

The key isn't whether we'd like them, its up to you.

 

HID's are ghetto unless u use a projector because they are not ment to work in a refractor setup it defeats the purpouse of the HID lights and also any temp above 4500k is rice too.

But as far as using entirly clear tails on the coupe that would be incredibly illegal unless you put some sorta red refectors somewhere on the back and also you will need to use red bulbs in the clear lights.

 

FLCobalt I looked on web and i couldn't find you anything. So you might have to try and make them or you can wait and bit cause i'm sure someone will come out with that. I was told that ALL clear tail light were illegal. I've heard that your light bulb had to be red, or there had to be some sort of red reflection on it somewhere...i don't know for sure cause the law is strange. You can ask a company to make them if you can get people interested..like a group purchase. Most companies won't do anything if there is no demand for the product.

 

Clear lights aren't illegal..... as long as you run the proper colored bulbs. Nothing pisses me off more than to see some ricer with euro tails running white signal or break bulbs. Idiots.... I wish the cops would pay attention to that... it can really be blinding at night. As far as clear tails for the cobalt goes I haven't seen any... though after seeing pics of them from that GM small car meet I just don't know how they'd look on a street application. I do plan to invest in some clear corner markers for the rear... that would certainly look better.

 

the reason the lexus with the clear tails is legal is becasue it has red lighting bulbs and also red reflectors in the bumper, so as long as ther are reflectors on the back on the vehicle they dont have to be in the tail lights
