Clearing your own headlights?? anyone done it?

ive done this on many of my other cars. Put the stock lights in the oven take them apart take out the orange and reaseal. Has anyone done this on their cobalt ss yet?

Yeah I take them apart and paint them it isnt very hard to do!

I just did it with mine, did a sale with a guy for a straight trade for my halos and it rained and they fogged up...then i had to clean them and reseal them and all is good now

You have a retrofit, her can't paint his stock halogen housing like that, nothing is going to show up. I your assembly. Where you live again ?

i know :P but it does show the cleared out indicator area

yep. kitchen oven 200* for 10 minutes and start prying.
have a towel and gloves cuz it will be hot.

not that ive seen.
you only need it hot enough to soften the sealant.

So I guess hair dryer is out of the question ? When put in the over, does it smell for like a while or doesn't smell at all ?

I know the how-to section as them. I read and suscribed. Just stop with the search I was asking somebody who did right and correctly to get more information that people don't write down in how-to's

but be careful, our body lines aren't tight and crisp, so if you put too much, you'll likely see it when the headlight is re-installed.
