Cobalt Dash Gauge Pod

So after talking with some buddies about a dash gauge pod that isnt molded into the dash. i wanted one that was removable without damaging the dash and since there wasnt any like it on the market i decided to make mine with the ideas i had. now ive got one almost done but i wanted to post it up in here to see if there was any interest in these. They take some time especially since its fiberglassed bondoed and sanded to the moon. Now im open to ideas and suggestions, i can make more of these if people want them. i can do any colors and any amount of gauges and do any custom ideas. ill take some better pictures tomorrow while i love my iphone the cameras not the best. Let me know what you guys think. Good, Bad, or Indifferent.

Sorry for the big pictures

some people have made them so they flow nicely with the dash, these look, out of place? like 3 pipe sitting on the dash...I dont know maybe you have more plans with them

removeable? why, usually gauges are not intended to be removed and reinstalled?

My personal opinion would be a much cleaner look in the gauge bezel.

Meh. Looks like they're floating, And how are you supposed to attach it to the dash? A screw? Where do the wires run?

It attaches with 3m strips and right now I'm changing it to where it has more flow that way it doesn't look out of place like it does now. I would've just molded them into the dash but I didn't want to have to deal with taking out the dash. Any other ideas are appreciated.

^^^^^ that looks no better then the one up top.

I'm still beyond proud of the one I built.

Op I'm not a fan. I would make it flow and I think your ideas golden I personally would find a better way to secure it as well. 3m tape will wear away with the hot and cold especially right on top of the dash in direct sun light. The best way is to use screws and go through the dash to the inside of the pod. Glass or bond in some nuts. Molded is the best looking.

The dash is a half hour job to remove.....remove the gauge bezel, air bag(screws are behind glove box) a pillars, dash trim, defrost panel, under dash trim on the drivers side, undo all the 7mm screws and your done.
