Cobalt day 2 Apperance mods ($36.00) PICS

So two days ago I finally got the SS. (I've been waiting for 3 weeks for all the loan stuff to get completed, so it's been a bit annoying.)

Anyway! Today being my Birthday, I decided to go out and buy some Night Shades, Plastidip, and Caliper paint (haven't done the calipers yet, but that'll come soon.

Supplies:

1 bottle Night shards = $8.00
1 Bottle Plasti Dip = $8.00
1 SS Emblem = $19.99

Front before Plasti dip and SS Emblem

Rear of car before Dipping emblem and tinting lights

Comparison between stock emblem, and SS emblem

Rear emblem during plastidipping

Rear emblem Complete with tail lights out for tinting

Front with grille bar dipped, EVO Mod, and SS emblem (before touch ups)

Front after touch ups

I don't have a pic of the tail lights because it got too dark and the flash makes it look just like normal. I'll post more later

Thanks!

Quick question for anyone:

Does anyone have any tips for getting the carpet off the inside top of the trunk lip to remove the 3rd brake light? I'd rather not tint it while it's on the car.

There's a bunch of little push pins you've gotta pop out if I am thinking about the right piece of carpet. They kinda suck.. lol

Just tape it up real good and spray it on the car. I did my hhr's rear reflectors while they were still I'm the bumper...came out great.

I know this is a bad pic, but you can see the two rear reflectors in the rear bumper...

That would be ridiculous! I would never throw 36 grand in a cobalt. Might as well buy an Evo at that point :p

if you have a push pin popper tool its easy lol but they are a biatch if you dont have the tool.

they feel like they will break when you use a flathead or something or another. they should be fine but dont break to many of them. i had that piece of the carpet out last week and they came out just peachy but i had the right tool also. pushing them back in can be kind of a biatch but take your time and it will play out.

yes,it does look kind of odd about the evo mod.

LOL! Yes, definitely supposed to say Shades*

It's too funny to edit though. Why do I get a feeling that people will call them night shards on purpose now? >.>

to remove the license plate bracket, its not a screw. its 3 rivets, they tear out real easy, just use pliers
