Which color HIDS? Help me decide CSS.net!
Ok guys I need help. I'm ditching my 3rd gen projectors and making a set of retrofits. So now I get to order a new set of hid bulbs. This is the LAST time I'm changing hid setups. I've spent too much on them and now that I've got an SS/TC I wanna do it right. Anyways, I can't decide between getting 6000k and 8000k hid bulbs. I know I want a some blue in my lights, so don't tell me 4300k or 5000k. I also can't decide how I want my fogs set up. I currently have 8000k, but I don't know if I want to keep them and match 8000k with them, get a 6000k match for the headlights, or go with 3000k, because I'm kinda warming up to the yellow. Help me decide, and if you have pics of a full hid setup, post it.
I voted 6k/6k as it will give a hint of blue but be brighter than any of the other choices. Though if your planning on 55w then id go upto 8k/8k due to the washing out the higher wattage does to the color.
Its true that around there is around where the optimal lighting is. However I still like a more whitish blue hue and im willing to give up a slight bit of lighting. At 6000 the falloff isnt as horrible as 8000 or 10000.
How blue do you want it mang?
Everyone got drawn to HID's due to their color and all OEM manufacturers use 4300k. It's the projector that gives it the color, not the bulb. That's why so many people are "disappointed" by the color when the shove them in halogen housings bc they aren't doing it right and thinking that form>function.
I prefer to see at night.

idk, I've got 8000k in my gen 3s right now and I'm happy with it, but I think I'd like a little more light output and the cleaner look of 6000ks. I'm doing the plug and play 3bspec projectors, so I can get any color between 4300k and 12000k, except 5000k. I've seen the 4300k, and I'd like at least a little blue in my lights. I think I'm gonna get 6000k.
6k isn't THAT bad, but it's noticeable.
