Either the part # changed from GM, something I have no way to do anything about or it was mislabled.

Since I posted those #'s you're the FIRST person I know thats had any problems at all. BTW those #'s were copied straight from my works computer when I was in the parts dept at Miller Brothers Chevrolet.

oh dude Im 100% not blaming you one bit. I know that theres something fishy going on with that site. I trust you that you copied and pasted the right codes at the time, now if they changed #'s or whatever that is not your fault. I was just posting to let everyone know so they dont get the same product I did. Sorry if it came off that I was blaming you, I just wanted to know if anyone did know the right one so I can get these bowties painted!

No problem and believe me I triple checked them all before I posted it. This is one problem I didn't want anyone having.

So i just called macco autobody and paint in addison and he told me if he would prep, primer, use base/clear on my mirrors and charge me $75 if i just dropped them off to him for a day or two. I am thinking about just doing this since i cant buy it online from gmpartsdirect for the decent price. Really though $75 seems steep since i will take the mirrors fully apart with removing the glass and led and stuff.

yeah i just called napa locally. They can mix me up a pint of paint for my car but heres they gave me a price of $77, paint/reducer/hardner/clear coat, aerosal spray can. Thats alot to just do it myself. I guess my only option is taking it to the body shop and paying the $75. It just sucks i have to remove the mirrors and wetsand them first so i can just take it to them where its ready for primer. For $75, they should just prep them too in my opinion.

Yeah i think im actually going to purchase this stuff from http://www.automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint.asp.

They actually mixup a base/clear paint for your car with the paint code you give them. I just called and talked to them and it will be exactly like taking it to a body shop. They sell the 12oz can for $19.99 and clear coat for 7.95.

well i just purchased from the site above in the 12oz can. Paint/clear and aerosol spray and it came out to $39 shipped. Thats really not bad at all. I already have acrylic laquer primer and 600/1000/1500 grit sand paper so i should beable to get it perfect.

ok everyone i just received my email back from gmdirect.com and they have a different number for the black paint and here is the email they sent me and i thought i would share it with everyone. I think we need to have someone update the other post on this that has the numbers with this new number so people who order it wont keep on receiving the clear coat.

Hello Josh,

I listed what the number you gave was below and it was the clear top
coat. I also listed both ways the touch-up paint comes incase you wanted
the tube of paint as well.

Here are your part numbers you requested per the information submitted.

homepage. You will then have to add this number to your shopping cart
and click check out to see total charges with shipping and handling

of this email, including the original email you sent, so we can keep
track of the conversation. Please keep in mind gmpartsdirect.com cannot

Well the sticky is too old for me to go in and change the part#'s, a mod is gonna have to do that. I guess GM changed the #'s at some point after I posted the list. Sorry for any problems that might have caused but I can't control GM and their # system.
