Color matched gen II projectors?

I searched through tons of threads (I am amazed at the number of threads that pop up searching "Color Projector" ) I can't find anyone that has color matched a set of Gen II (CCFL) projectors. Has anyone done it or attempted to do it? I have seen a few Gen I projectors that were color matched but I was wondering specifically how easy is it to get the bezel off of the housing once the lens is removed... Do you have to remove the CCFL tubes to get the bezel off? Thanks

I think it would look odd to have body colored projectors. I like mine in black as is.

I have been thinking about it since I first saw the Gen IIs then I saw how nice Jackalope's sedan looked with the Gen Is painted Sport Red. I am considering doing it but not if I have to remove the CCFL tubes to remove the inner bezel...

Hey I have to ask, have you noticed any ***** shrinkage since you bought that BMW? LOL

I had a friend call me up one day asking if I knew anyone in the market for a BMW, that he just started working for a BMW dealer as a sales man.

I got him good, I replied back that I was sorry but everyone I knew with a small ***** either already drove a BMW or sold them!!! He didn't talk to me for a week...

I love the look of your old sedan but the Gen I projectors never really did it for me... After having seen the Gen IIs in person I have to have them. I'm just undecided about color matching them...

Nope no shrinkage that I have seen, nor my wife.

Don't know how hard it is to do the new ones but the old ones were easy.

Did you have to remove the halos to get the bezel off?

The halos are hot glued to the chrome (or black and chrome) part behind the lens. If your calling the chrome (or black and chrome) part the bezel then no it all comes apart as one. Then you remove the halos to mask the area from the paint.

Headlights came in today! Man are they nice, I almost had to put them in without painting them...

I hope the paint is here by the weekend.

I am going to order a set of HIDs (headlights and driving lights) tomorrow... Both sets plug and play for <$90 + shipping seemed like a good deal...

While I am waiting for a couple of cans of Night Shades to arrive, I installed the projectors to test them out... They look nice but neither of the straight CCFL tubes are lighting up... Is there something that needs to be done to get them to work or am I lucky enough to have a bad set?
