no not unless you have a paint and baking booth. you will not get the same effect as if is professionally done. they add a flex additive to the paint so that the part can bend freely without the paint cracking. but if you do want to try you will need 4 cans not 2.

Two quick questions on this guys....

1. Does this spray not require a clear coat as well. Is it just spray and your done?? ( I have a very small amount of chipping in the front of my fender due to it being low to the ground, and me hitting a few curbs)

2. Those who have ordered a can, how long does it take to arrive?? I noticed it said special order on the website. Does it arrive fairly fast or are we talking 2 weeks plus here?

Thanks guys

VICTORY RED (74U)..................12345539
YELLOW (34U)...........................12346642

ULTRA SILVER MET (95U)............12345305
PACE BLUE (20U).......................88860746
SPORT RED MET (29U)................12346746

Now these are the color names but I would STRONGLY suggest you double check your paint code against the (--U) next to the color to be sure you ask for and order the CORRECT color! GM does change names but paint codes never change, always go by the paint code even if it has a different name. Again paint names can change from year to year and model to model but paint CODES DO NOT!

Note: these are 5oz. cans of color matched paint from GM, not aftermarket! These are the absolute closest you will ever get to matching your cars color.

Any questions?

Any idea of the paint code for the silver interior trim on uplevel and SS models?

hahahahahaha

It's an '06. Id' figure that that'd be like going there and saying, "my floor mats are dirty... replace them under warranty." haha

Service bulletin eh? That's news to me, but good to know. I just broke 10000kms so I don't really have a problem yet, but I figure if there ever becomes one with the trim, I already have carbon fiber and blue lightning trim kits from GMSPO to replace it with.

As for the silver, it looks like it'll just have to be some trial and error with some automotive spray paint until the correct match is found.

I pumped that code for black into gmpartsdirect.com and ended up with a can of clear coat instead of black. The code matches up but, I think they might have changed the code for black since that post? Not sure if anyone else ran into this problem but i figured id give a heads up.

I asked my dealer for the paint and they want way too much, like 12 a can. not worth it to me. Anyone else know where to find it?

Aha, hmm.

Might be my NoScript application for Firefox, we'll see.

That's what I was doing too, but, never get any results.

-shrug- I can call, I guess.
