coupe rear on a sedan

ok, heres the deal. I have a 4 door cobalt and i really hate the looks of the rear bumper, i almost didn't buy it for that reason but the deal was too good to say no. anyways i came across a totaled 2 door that has no damage on the rear end at all. just by eyeballing it i think i could swap out the rear bumper and deck lid, it all looks about the same, at least from a casual glance.

I have looked around here a lot and can't find anyone that has done it, anyone can speculate just as well as i can but i'm looking for someone that has done it so i know it can be done before i spend any money on this.

I think you would have to cut your rear quarter panels to make it work and then weld the coupes on to yours. If I remember correctly, the sedan trunk is wider than the coupes so it won't be a direct fit.
