Custom Hood Props

Im just interested in seeing what other CF Hood owners use for hood props, especially those of you that show your car.

That or they will end up pushing the hood beyond the stopping point of the hinges. Some CF hoods have the mount for a strut but you would have one that is not as strong as the stock one

I polished 2 peices of pipe and sit them over my bump stops. Use two so the hood doesn't flex at all.

Do what I did when I had mine, go to pep Boys with your old factory one and ask them to see their selection and then go thru and find one thats weaker. I found one weaker and a tad shorter and it worked perfectly and didn't bow the hood at all. I gave it with the hood when I sold it to Tyler so if you want a part # you'll have to ask him.

Well my CF hood doesnt have an area to mount a strut. I actually need some sort of bar. Right now I am using a broom handle or 2x4 and its not very pretty for the shows

I use the stock hood strut, not attached. I lift the hood up and stick the strut in there near the center of the hood.
