I basically followed the instructions provided. You have to use the supplied relay for maximum loudness. Just made a couple common sense changes- wired to the jump start terminal instead of the battery, and wired to the OEM horn wire instead of the fuse box.

Haha... my car is older than you guys', and I've taken in and out headlights, the brackets, and taken the bumper off and on many times. Everything is just a little bit "off". It's a very common Cobalt problem to have headlights that don't fit flush with the bumper. In my case, I don't have to pay anything to have these body guys spend a little time massaging it.

Yep, the fitment on Gen 4s suck. Anybody who has or had them will probably agree on that.

the bottom tab on the headlight is not seated in the hole. I have to play around with mine quite a bit for that tab to sit right, when it's not it looks exactly like yours

all cobalts are like that. I used washers to even out the head light buckets and get the gap smaller. then you can also put some foam btw the bumper cover and absorber to hold the bumper up and reduce the hood gap.

^ you need to pretty much unclip the top of the front bumper, to pull it forward out of the way. then you can slide the headlight tabs in the clots and be done.

if Gen 4's fit that bad, I can imagine how shitty they must be.

Back to these supertones, I've been inspired and will be getting a set for my kidney grills. Will look sweet with the as lip, TC lower grill, and RKSPORT ram air hood. Or should I put them behind the lower grill?

Yup... The gen 4 Depo's currently on my SS were put in by the previous owner, and the fitment sucks. I'll be swapping them with something else real soon.

I saw an STi today with these, and I like the look alot. I would love to do it, but I would think it would look better without the stock cross bar that separates the upper grilles.

I wonder how the front would look with that bar cut out and a solid mesh insert... Anybody good with photoshop?

I grabbed brackets today.
I am going to mount them from the crash beam.

Anyone think I can just wire them to the OEM horn circuit via power/ground?
