Cutting Eibach Springs to go lower??
not sure if people think its not safe or whatever, my previous car which i will not name, did not have any sort of aftermarket spring available for it. I got used konis that were modified to fit and clamped 2 of the coils together for about a 1.75" drop. Worked PERFECT. everyone said i was going to die blah blah they would break, they held for about a year until i got rid of the car.
I had them on stock struts too before which they blew in like 3 months and was the worst ride ever but with better struts it was fine. Then when i traded the car in I just took the wheels off and unbolted the spring clamps, it literally takes an hour to install and less to remove, just need pb blaster. And this was 1 year of use in New England.
Long story.....Clamp 2 coils together on the eibachs and if you dont like it remove it simple as that. and if your satisfied permanently to reassure yourself, spot weld the threads so they will never come off.

People that havent done it are so skeptical. It worked perfect for over a year and the ride was FINE. How am i a *******? the thought seems stupid but it works flawless. Its like all the people that talked **** about plastdip before they used it and now its the new thing.

^ still doesnt mean i personally would go recommending it to others.
another supervisor i work with tried cutting his on his kia, and one snapped in half after a year.
OP should sell his eibachs, and make up the different and buy h&r race springs. problem solved and not half assed

Lol.nothing wrong with it if you use the right tools and I don't recommend cutting stockers. My buddy did that on his 240 and it rode like hell.As long as you dont get them hot( I had a cold saw available)Had cut springs on my s-10 for 5 years too.Sounds like installer error(no offense)My 67 C10 also had cut springs lol.Everything I have has/had cut springs, except my Cadillac...for now
LowLS does have a point........ with the right tools just about anythign is possible.
I still dont really like the idea of cutting a spring. But i was going to do some modifications to my coils so i could go lower....
