Error code eliminators are for cars with a "bulb out" warning light on them. Not needed on these cars. Are you using a relay setup? Could be that the relay got stuck open.

We don't know what you bought, so you tell us. Did you get a wiring kit with relays? I'd assume so if you have a power lead that you had to hook up. Never seen DDM's stuff but the replays are probably small square boxes, likely made out of clear plastic. Sound about right?

You're not confusing the ballasts with relays, are you? If you have relay kits and the relays are sticking then that will make the headlights stay on.

I have ddm's 35w digital ballasts on both fogs and head lights. Only issues I've ever had were receiving a doa ballast and after the first 2 years I had a ballast that wouldn't fire 100% of the time(had to flip the light 2-3 times) They warrantied the ballast both times. Can't really complain.

Dang I was hoping you had the 55.w, Ive heard they they dont last as long as the 35w. And its really just the customer service that is really annoying me.. I got my kits 2 years ago and its always my fogs lights I have a problem with, which are the 55w. Ive probably gone through 4 ballasts and recently I got one that all it does is flicker. and the guy told me it was my wiring harness.. im rambling.... -__-

By the way, if you have a relay kit you don't need to pull your DRL fuse.

what's wrong with your hids on during the day?

That's how mine are wired. What's the issue with that?

Because they'll run in DRL mode, which runs at a percentage of normal output for low beams at night. Apparently running them as DRLs can shorten the life of the ballast quite a bit. I'm no HID expert though, I still run halogens on my car.

Pretty sure that with relay harnesses all that the headlight wire does is trigger the relay. The relay only knows off/on. They will run full brightness whenever they are on.

Hm, I didn't know that. So your low beams will be on 100% and you won't have to deal with your tail lights being on in the day for example?

Exactly right.

The good thing about a relay kit is that you don't have to worry about a partially charged ballast. It's always on 100%.

The reason for the DRL removal is for during the day, when you unlock your car, the lights come on, then when you open your door they turn off. then you turn the car on and they turn back on again. not good for bulbs to turn on and off repeatedly when they havent been warmed up from what I have been told. Also bulbs will last longer if they are not on all the time during the day

Ive got over 2 years on mine and havent had an issue yet. Got my kit from TRS though, Morimoto 35w ballasts
