Deck lid trades! High Rise options?!

I have a 2009 Cobalt SS / TC with the High Rise spoiler on my deck lid.

Will a regular Black Cobalt LS deck lid fit on my car if I trade them?

I don't want the high rise wing and don't want holes in my trunk. I want a flat shaved look.

What are my options?

Assuming you have a coupe, any other coupe trunk will fit. Sedan trunks will not. You could also use a G5 coupe trunk, and not have reverse lights.

Was the installation easy to do, Kzak? Everything just fits right in and bolts right up and that is that?

I did that as well. I swapped my high rise trunk lid with a base trunk that had the low rise. With one person working on each trunk the swap was done in less than 20 mins.

There already is a wing sale/trade thread. Might want to take a look at it.

If anyone wants to trade my big gay wing in silver for their big gay wing in black... I'm listening.

I'm quite fond of my big gay wing. Even if it does make my rear view impossible to use. I've learned around it.

Post count +1.

Yeah I could not imagine the rear view. It gets blocked a bit even by the low wing. OP should def go shaved.

Lol! Agreed! That's my only complaint about my "big gay wing" because of visibility but other than that I like it!

Guys! I found a person to trade as far as deck lids and they have a Cobalt LS but they have a great question that I didn't think of...
The keys to the trunk! I don't think LS models have a key fob like we do? So I assume they pop their trunk manually? How do I go about having my trunk able to unlock with their keys or do they also have a trunk pop button on their key fob and the inside of their car in that little secret compartment that we have?

I assume the locking mechanism comes off as well and can be switched over too, maybe?

Reach up in there, there is a tab inside the truck that presses the lock against the trunk. Just grab the tab and pull straight down, the lock will fall out and you can switch them.

Test yourself before you go do the switch. Will make things a lot quicker.
