Don't fix it I had the same issue but I had the dealer replace it since it deals with the airbag system in a case of an accident the center cap will shoot out like a bullet and hurt u really bad it's really easy to remove but to place back on is impossible without taking the airbag system apart to fold the prongs in the end of the steering wheel cap :-/ so save yourself the time and hassle andhave the dealer replace the whole airbag center cap

Why not just crazy glue it back?

There will be pressure on the whole assembly when the bag deploys, it wont shoot you.

you can pop it out but you must be very careful. you have to disconnect the battery for at least 10 mins. or you take a chance on the airbag going off in your face. but by then your just going to need a new bow tie cuz it will not look right. so get a junk yard one and replace it.

Um... when you pull the airbag fuse that removes airbag power. No reason to wait. It isnt like you are gonna create enough static electricity to make it blow.

airbag systems store power so in the event of the power being cut.. usually techs wait 30 minutes.. i usually hit the brakes and discharge power and wait 20
