Dimples and a shorty

Well the other night i was debadging my car when I got to the GM ones on the fender. I popped them off and realized there were indents in the fender, must be so they knew where to place them. Has anyone else stumbled upon this? If so what have u done? I guess I will have to stick the GM things back up unless I can find something else.

I know my car is filthy, I gotta wash it after I finish the oil change.

Then I installed this shorty antenna, works great I get over 180 Channels. Way better then the stock antenna and the cheap eBay ones that bend when u drive.

I love my Sirius radio.....

just to clear things up, you do know that antenna does not have anything to do with your satellite radio, right?

had the dealer remove mine when i purchased it, no dimmples. find a dent wizard or other paintless dent removal company. probably charge like $75-$150 but if you find a good tech you will never no they were there.

It is pretty tiny, all it is, is the spot where the antenna screws on. with a cap on it.

No, not unless someone hit my car with a shopping cart in my garage when I bent down to get a paper towel... and its on both sides in the same spot.

well if you have an FM transmitter for your satellite radio you do realize that it is transmitting like 4 feet total? you better get perfect reception from 4 feet or i would take the **** back lol it's not like it gets sent to the muffler bearings, then bounces off the kooter valve, then gets redirected to the international space station, and then to the satellite , and finally back to your radio antenna.

the factory antenna has nothing to do with satellite radio. they use their own.

I realize that my Sirius has its own antenna for recieving the channels(the black thing on my trunk that is 1.5 feet from my car antenna), BUT my car didnt come with Sirius so it goes through the radio using a transmitter, channel 89.1 is what mine is set at. Plus the factory radio doesnt have an imput jack so I cant use my Sirius that way, so I am forced to use the transmitter through the radio. Besides only sucky XM is available from the factory.

kooter valve......lol

actually if you had a black thing on your roof it doesn't transmit to your antenna it is hard wired directly into your radio. so outside interferience wouldn't be a problem. however i did figure out that you were using a sportster for sirius radio which does transmit to the radio via an FM transmitter. you will have problems in certain areas though. like if someone has something in the car next to you transmitting on the same channel your radio will be trying to pick up both channels. i realize this kinda problem will be limited but just wanted to clarify my previous comment.

just cut your stock antenna to about 1.5 feet. it looks way better. you will lose some reception though.

I also removed the factory "whip" antenna, who needs it when you have awesome XM Radio. Again, black chunk of rubber/plastic screwed over the factory for a nub!

"You want serious satellite radio? GET XM!"

I dont have to worry about the reception(sirius).... no point in ruining a good antenna.
