Dirty Recaros

So I just picked up some used Recaro seats from a Redline, but they're pretty dirty......the cloth part anyway. What can I use to make them good as new? I'm installing them tomorrow afternoon, and want to clean them tonight.....so it doesn't matter if they stay wet for a little while. Any help is much appreciated!

What is united? Isn't a rug dr. one of those huge carpet cleaning machines? Do they have attachments or something?

use some "tough stuff" cleaner... it's cheap and works really well... I use it to get stains out of carpet all the time...

My Recaro's were pretty bad when I bought the car, so I cleaned them both up, turns out that the passenger seat has some really gnarly stains on it, I'm hoping the rug doc is worth it's weight in gold, cause these stains look tough.

Never heard of United Supermarkets. Anyway, lots of suggestions guys. I don't feel like the hassle of renting and lugging around that Rug Dr., so I'll try one of the chemicals you guys suggested.

I have one of those Spot Bot carpet cleaners. In addition to full auto spot cleaning for your carpet it has a built in hose and brush. I use it with the recommended cleaning solutions and it has taken up every stain I can throw at it on my Recaro's. It even got red wine outta my living room carpet...that's no joke, my friend that spilled it thought they would be replacing my carpet fo-sho!

matt, i used that tough stuff from walmart before and love it. Do your carpet in your car as well and your interior will smell good too. I have gone through a few cans of the tough stuff. Last time though i bought a can from walmart for around $6 but it had a scrubble on the end and it came in a red bottle and that also worked well and made my interior smell good.

Post up some pics of the seats.

Well I did it, and they came out great. Still drying right now, and I took some pics. I'll take more when they're dry but I have to wait until Monday to post. I left my cable to link my camera at work.

I see you already cleaned them. What did you go with. I was gonna recommend Purple Power. Used that on the entire interior of my GTI.

I used Tuff Stuff made by Armor All/STP. Used the entire can, and worked really well.
