LMAO... yeah right... I've used some of there crap for awhile and it don't last at all. Like for instance there polishs and compounds and definitly there waxes. Not to mention the tire shine they got runs and drips off the tire and barely looks shined. When i buff a car with there stuff yeah it looks good... but only for a weak.

Buddy if you've got stains i'd use an extracter... but oviously you don't got one so the next best thing would be a rug doctor.
If that don't work throw them in the washer and drier... that'll work... maybe

Pretty much any strong interior upholstery spray, then just scrub the hell out of it. That's what I did to my old '85 Grand Prix and it cleaned it up VERY nicely.

Weird, I used Tuff Stuff and it left stains on my seats....

Tried it again and it left more stains..So my girlfriend picked up some stuff that worked awesome on her cloth seats so I did it on my Recaro's. Still waiting for it to dry.

This was a good and cheap, temporary fix. I'd still like to take a Rug Doctor to it.

I use either a steam cleaner if I have tough stain ( their fair cheap and not big and bulky ) ~or the best chemical product Ive ever came across is Scotchguard by 3M , Ive never had stain it couldnt completely get out .

Also so others know, the Cobalt recaro's are mesh/leather, the redlines(the ones the thread maker has) are cloth/leather.

Is the cloth then easier to clean than the mesh?

Very well could be.

With mine, I was worried about stretching the mesh if I scrubbed hard and making everything all FUBAR'd.

They ended up dirty still, so I used this other stuff and I haven't checked to see how it looks.

The cloth is easier to clean and more durable than the SS version . I used to have Redline seats , now I have cobalt recaro's . All u gotta do is look at the cobalt seat wrong and bam ....stain . Ive never had seats where u could where simple rain water that drips when u open the door leaves a water ring stain

haha That sucks. I'd take either for mine.. I have a black SS 2.4 so the s/c ones would look awesome. But I have blue underdash neons, my Alpine glows blue, and i'll have blue underbody neons, so the Ion ones would look real good too. The Ion ones are generally cheaper, so I'll probably end up with those. I could've had a set of s/c ones this weekend for like $400, but I don't have the cash for a few weeks...

Oh, and that Oxy Clean guy, he's from the Pittsburgh area. My Dad graduated with him. haha

Just skipped to the end But I use a house hold cleaning product a white towel and an iron full of water.

Spray the stain with cleaner.

Set the White towel over the stain

Put the hot iron on top of the towel and start to steam.

You will be amazed at how much stuff comes out.

This is basiclly a homemade steam cleaner. The towel soaks up the stain. I use white to see how much of the stain is comming out.

u can do the whole seat just put a big enough towel over it. and keep adding water to the iron. Hell just try it out on part of it and look at the difference. can't hurt. and no extra money out of ur pocket just a little bit of labor

Same situation when I got my "video game chair". I found a perfect condition '89 CRX Si Recaro passenger seat a LONG time ago and scored it on eBay for like 30 bucks. They'd usually go for over 100 in that good of condition. But it was in his garage for a little, so it smelled like so. Had to like sergically clean that ****. lol.

i will completely agree with you man, i hate my seats (not really but still) and how they make stains. I will take the blame for a few "stains" but rain, sweaty bums, anything gets a stain. and you cant use any thing on them it just leaves rings and ****. i dont know what to use that wont tear them up and clean them completly.

any one that has the ss/sc recaros use something sucesfully
