Disapointment (fog light install).

So i installed the fog lights that ive had in my trunk for months today. The wiring went like a dream i was able to hide all the wires perfect, the actual light mounted up very nicly behind my lower grill and then the big moment i got to turn them on and.........Yea they cam on but they were very dim and dam near purple. All i can say is at least i have the wireing done because as soon as i an thes bitches are getting replaced. p.s. cant return them, had them tooooo long. Here are some pics they dont look purple in them or that dim but in real its another story.
Here is what they look like out of the box.

Man they fit soo good too.

Cant even see them here.

After i covered the headlights with my hand.

Sry for the long post and wasting your time but im mad.........

I wanted thin ones so they would sho through the grill good so thats why i got them, it had nothing to do with the price even tho they wernt that expensive.

Where did you buy them? If it is a retail store. Why not try to take them back with out a recipet. And just ask to exchange them out for something different. Just say that after you installed them they blew on you and after all the time spent F'in around with them you want something different. Worth a shot. Most stores if they want to keep your business they will do this for you. Casue 90% of the time they will get 100% credit for them from the manufacture.

lol i dont think there gonna give you an exchange if you tell them they blew on you , sounds more like a manufacturers warranty

I got them from a vendor on here. Ive had them quite awhile so even with a reciept (which i dont have any more), i dont think i could get any thing. Plus i dont want to have to uninstall the wiring that i spent so much time on making clean and sano. There is another member on here with an LS who put 90' celica gts fog lights which fit pretty good behind the bumper so i pmed him in hopes he has some info for me. We will see.

I could take a pic of the engine bay but you wouldnt see any thing the only vivible wires are the ones going from the lower grill to the fog lights but they are wrapped in the same blk plastic stuff as the rest of the car so its on the D/L.

I would but as you can see in the pic the whole lense is BLUE so it wouldnt matter what kind of bulb i put in. Im just gonna get new fogs and use the existing wiring because there is just no saving those lights.

Some if not most manufacture will have you take them back to the store were you bought them. They may issue yo an RGA# that will let you return them, and the store wont take the hit on them.

Here ya go, got them vrom a vendor on here;

I like them just because they are different, and they arnt like most hid wannabes they dont blind you. Ive drove ahead of my car in anohter car so i know.

You can hella see them in my sig too, kinda neat.

Here is a pic of me and my buddy goin down the freeway, he has an 03 focus. There is a huge ass difference between our head lights.

Dam radar is right in the way!

Yea, his lights up the road. Your lights turn the road into smurf town.

I like the idea and the placement, but don't care for the color... obviously that was your rant, so I agree.

Yea the blue headlights are gone and the blue fogs are gone too, i have white/brighter fogs in which i really like and i have the stock headlights in aswell. Smurffville was fun while it lasted but they sucked..

The new fogs before i replaced the smurf bulbs.

Im thinking of taking the lens of the fogs and using glass stain and make them yellow. (what do ya think?)
