Does anyone have water guards on their Vented hood?
I was thinking about getting a vented hood but do not want the rain all over my motor. I know the hoods come with water guards that attach under the hood to keep the water out. I was curious how well it works and where does the water go, how does it drain. Does anyone know about these.

Yeah I am skeptical about all this too. A buddy of mine has an aftermarket CF hood with the vents and "waterguards." If you ask him to open his hood its ALWAYS wet in there. Ask An0malous, I think he has an aftermarket hood.
Good question guys. The vents that I use actually come with a lower water intrusion panel; I am using an 88-89 Mclaren ASC Pontiac Grand Prix turbo vent, but decided not to put the lower water intrusion panel on as moving air out is more important to me. However, my vents sit right above the coolant bottles (both sides as I have Option B) and also right above the fuse box. It hasnt mattered no performance problems in heavy rain. And the fuse box has a cover so I am not worried, and it shows no evidence of issues. The Cobalt has a square foam sealer around the hood latch assembly, the Redline does not, and over the winter I noticed the engine gets pretty much covered with road grime coming in from the gap between the hood and the front fascia , so i concluded no problem if the water wants to come in then i should just drive faster and clean the engine more often (lol)
