assuming u have a fabric armrest..i use a fabric cleaner from wal-mart. u spray it and it has a scrubbing brush to work it in. then give it a quick vacume. also work on the seats pretty good
sometimes an all surface armourall wipe will work. make sure its the one thats cars frabric on it too

I got an 18 oz can of Lifter-1 Instant Carpet Stain Remover from Advance Auto and it works awesome. Most of the time I don't even have to do anything but spray it on and let it dry and the stain goes away. It's in a light blue can and costs about $6 but it works. My interior's grey so if it gets stains outta that it should anything.
I actually Scotch Guarded my floors, mats, seats, and arm rests on the doors when I bought my car. I have the light gray interior, so this seems to be helping deter and lift stains. If I get some kind of stain on that, I use Resolve (red can from Target, WalMart etc.). Works like a charm.
i have a tide-to-go pen in the glovebox for the little things. hey, it works and it's only $2 at wal-mart lol. i need to clean the carpets though, especially on the driver side. i shall bust out the resolve for that one!
the things with the seats on the cobalt are you can really clean out a spot on them because you will get a water ring. i work at a detail shop and they way you clean the kind of seats that are in the cobalts is take a sponge and wet the whole area your working on then take some kind of cleaner and a brush and scrup the wet area only. after done scrubing vacume the wet area then after that get a clean dry towel and towel down the area you where just working on then let it sit and dry. thats how i do it in my G5 with the black/gray seats and they look great and thats also how we do it at work.
