Door handles

Has anyone painted the inside door handles? I just dont like the bubbling chrome look anymore, lol.

Yup! Painted mine with the graphite Duplicolor wheel paint, matches my wheels and surprisingly the stock dash trim..lemme check for a picture

Why dont you just buy new ones, I got one for 15 bucks from a dealer

Because honestly, I think my color matched ones look better than the chrome did anyway, and the can of paint only cost me $5

It's the only chrome piece in the damn car anyway besides the small ass trim ring on the shifter.

wanna know this too, mines bubbling on all four doors and really annoying when you open them and feel the peeling. Might just dupli-color them to match my interior.

I'd take pictures but I don't feel like talking my door apart right now lol

Its really easy to get them off, pop out the plastic piece in the back of the handle, revealing one screw. Remove the screw and pull the handle assembly out of the door panel. Unclip the cable (should be easy to figure out) then just push the shaft out that the handle pivots on and you'll have the chrome piece separate + a spring and the shaft. As far as putting it back together there's a thin plastic piece on the back/side that pops off to make lining up the spring/shaft/handle assembly a little easier. Then just reverse the removal process.
