Easiest way to tap into ignition wire and ground wire?
I just took a peek under the dash and saw the bunches of wires, found the ignition wire and a ground wire, and before I go cutting and soldering, is there an alternative method that I could use to accomplish this? I'd like to avoid MAR clips, because, after all, it is the ignition... Any advice?
go to your local auto store and ask for a mini fuse tap. These go over the existing fuse and you make you connection using the mini fuse tap. Make sure it's a mini fuse tap, because the make regular larger fuse taps for those bigger fuses.
Off to Lordco.

There's no ground or hot wire that I can tap into via the fuse box. On the scanner there are three wires, and they recommend that black is ground, red is always hot, and orange is for your ignition, but this is when it turns off, so now I need to tap into a live source and a ground source, which fuses would I use for this?
