I was wondering what easy do it yourself mods ppl were doing where you buy the parts and make it custom yourself for your cobalts like custom grills with gutter guard for example. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

 

debadging, people have made custom intakes, if you have the availability of the tools, custom exhaust, port polish the blower (but you obviously have the 2.4), that's mostly performancewise stuff, it's all about what you have available to you though

 

i was actually thinking more to the appearance wise because i am not that performance smart when it comes to cars, im getting there though, but like interior/exterior work is more on the line of what im wanting to do. Thanks for input though.

 

I debadged the rear, and painted my head lights, if you search for it there are instructions for both.

 

get some stripes i paid 30 for the vinyl and did it myself

Are those stripes silver and do you have any more pictures. I was thinking of getting stripes but I wasn't sure what color to get and I don't want silver since I have two friends with black Camaros that have silver stripes so I don't need mine to look the same so any color suggestins would be appreciated.

As far as the original question, you could paint the chevy symbols or some of the plastic stuff in the engine bay.

 

I did custom upper and lower grills for my SS. Took some time with painting and everything, but only cost like $30 or $40. I know there are a few "how-to's" on that.
