Ebay or amazon Hid-Projector combos

Hey guys who where has bought one of those combos off ebay. I see a ton that are around 200-250.
yes I know that the ones I see up here are a lot better but are also 400-500.
my wife has a cobalt and she is blind at night. we live in the country and I just want to get her something better then what she has now.
so if anyone has bought a kit please share me the link and how happy you are with it over you factory lights.
also if anyone know of any sights that has the combos let me know.
I was thinking of getting my own spyder projector from then and then buy a 55w kensun kit and do it myself but not sure how to go about doing so.
thanks guys for the help

The factory reflectors are better than the ebay projectors. Try re-aiming the headlights.

Id recommend putting hids in the stock headlights over getting the 'projector' headlights.

In which case, a 9007/9004 hid kit from theretrofitsource would be a good 150 dollar option.

I use the 5k 9007 hi/low kit from ddmtuning. Ran it for 4 years no problem in my ls until they updated the kit and I got a new one so the bulbs tilts instead of moving in and out, new kit works even better. had to aim the headlights down a lil both times to reduce glare so to not be as much of a dick to everyone else. still hellaciously easy to see at night on low than silverstar ultras on bright.

The basic level kit I use is $68 shipped.

If you go projectors it would be best to buy ones that have hid projector kit in them already instead of the halogen.

No joke well to be honest I wanted to keep them stock and get the black ones with the smoke glass like this link

http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-10-Cobalt-07-10-Pontiac-G5-05-06-Pursuit-Black-Smoked-Headlights-Left-Right-/201428383356?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276

Or my other option Im looking at is

05 10 Chevy Cobalt 07 09 Pontiac G5 Black Headlights Lamp Left Right Replacement | eBay

Personally I like the send option..
You said something about theretrofitsource is this a good place to get the hid kit.
I did some research on amazon looking at reviews and this is the kit I have my eye on to be paired up with the light I buy.

Made by Kensun if you know of a better brand please let me know I don't mind spending a little more to get a lot better product.

would rather stay away from projectors. Are you using then in a stock light yourself? Also what kit did you get you said the new updated kit.

Not sure if that auto selected but don't use 10k. youll be blinder than you are stock with that.
4.5-5k is the best range for the whitest and brightest light. 6k if you want good light with a little blue. less than 4.5k you start getting yellow, anything over 8k is pretty much cosmetic.

you also don't need 55wat, 35 is plenty. Trust me.

The ls I run them has factory oem headlights and aimed respectively for oncoming traffic.
Its this kit DDM Tuning: HID and LED Lighting

Its the basic kit ddm kit, there are other kits that have a lot to do with how some new cars control the headlights (have some type of bulb out detector). Also there is other kits for more that have more efficient bulbs/ballasts.

I got the basic kit years ago when the ballasts were bigger and less efficient and when the bulbs
telescoped hi/low instead of tilt. (tilt gives better hi/low function than telescopic style)
At the time they had the tilt bulbs and better ballast but it was their higher price kit. they basically discontinued their old kit, moved the better kit price down, and came out with a even newer/better kit.

5k is nearly pure white, 4300 is tinged slightly and is a more "natural" color of light. 6k has a faint blue hue to it.

6k in stock housing. It's not blinding like it seems in the pic. No complaints from oncoming traffic either.

If you are good with a dremel you could retrofit your stock lights with projectors that aren't garbage and buy a high quality HID kit for around $300.
