ebay projectors question

i already have painted my stock headlights black, but after looks at several pictures with the black projectors installed on are cobalts i'm starting to like them better. My question is how is the light output with the low beams? The reason i'm asking is because i purchased projectors off ebay before for my last car and the low beams were horrible! I had to drive around with my high beams on all the time. Also what happens with the angel eyes and led's burn out? can they be replaced?

LED's normally last 100,000 hours. much much longer than a chevy will last. youll have no problems with those as long as they were designed well and arent loaded with too much current.

what about the angel eyes? Also don't you think hooking up all those led's and angel eyes to the corner lights would blow a fuse or overload the circuit?

I'd trade you my stock headlights for your black ones if you decide to buy projectors.

the lighting is great. you actually remove the lighting fixture from your original head lights and put them into the projectors, so technically you cant get worse than stock headlights cuz ur using the stock bulbs.

If you want H.I.D's you use H1's I believe. If you get the projectors, you use the stock bulbs.

i'm almost postive that stock bulbs are not used in with the projectors. But I could be wrong.

Do what I did, get a set of S2000 Lights from a junkyard for about $45 (or free if you are freinds with someone who works in a junkyard) and take out the ballasts/ignitors, bulbs, projectors and housings and fiberglass them all into your car for completly custom lights.

I got the JDM black projectors in from California.

They came with bulbs installed in hi and lows.

Stock light bulbs are not used.

well i just heard from another member on this forum that the low beams are horrible on these projectors and even when adjusted are still bad.. also he had problems with fitment and had to cut some of the trim on the headlight to even make it fit. He has the black projectors and said that the black finish on the headlights were also really bad. He said there was black overspray on the turn signals and also paint runs. Well I made my decision. Def sticking with my painted black headlights and am not wasting my time with these poorly made projectors.

He said that the low beam was bad, but it wasnt much worse than the stock low beams.

He also said the high beams kicked ass.

I bought my projectors, and wether or not the paint runs, or there is over spray, idc, because they look good from a distance and thats what counts

i had a similar pair of headlights for my civic and the lows were horrible at night.. i had to drive around with the high beams most of the time and to me safety is first. I'd rather have good light output. Both high and low.

Sort of sounds like there is more than one manufacturer.

Must be if some people had to use stock lights in them.

No runs or marks on mine....one of the lights was cracked over the low beam though...

Back to California with it...hopefully get a new one back within a few weeks

I've read elsewhere on this board that the low beams suck. Any chance we can come to a concensus on this? I was ready to buy them last week until I read all the complaints about hte low beam patterns.
