It all depends man. Some people buy them and have good luck and they last, others only last a month and something burns out. What generation are you thinking of getting? 2nd generations are said to have the best quality of the 3...but like I said...it just all depends on if you get lucky. Members will say to put your money towards a retro fit...just depends on what you want.

From what I've heard...

The first gen lenses flake

The second gen halo's burn out pretty quick

Haven't heard any complaints from the third gen

Granted, I haven't had any personal experience from any of them.

I have the gen 3 and had them for about 4 months and the only complaint I have is there seems to be some kind of real short hair line cracks in the lenses that I can from an angle.

People with projectors from eBay can usually prevent the hair line cracks by getting HIDs in them because HIDs run cooler than halogen. You still can't avoid getting them from the elements though.

I'd prefer to get the projectors without the halos (Gen 1 I think). But.... their reliability is more important to me than the halo option.

Just cut the wire powering them. I'm pretty sure all 3 generations have halos though.

Talking Thanks For The Feedback! Look at what I bought

I just bought these. I think theyre the new ones. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope they look as good on the car as they do in the picture. I'll post when they're installed.

Lol...now you have to get the HID kit to go with it. Unless you want your lenses cracking prematurely...get a HID kit. I got mine on eBay shipped for $70.

there's a tab you can just disconnect, it's easy no wire cutting needed, just tape off both ends.

the white connector (top right)

here's how they looked when they were still working

had mine for about 5 months. Everything works. Aiming was a bitch and the plastic starts getting stress cracks through it within a month. U can only see it if u look from the side though. And if u put a bead of silicon across the top to seal it u wont have any moisture problems. after a few months there was a little moisture in the bottom durring the night time but i put some more silicon around the edges it fixed that problem.

Why will the lenses crack prematurely without the HID's?

Because regular halogen bulbs run much hotter than HIDs...if you get a HID kit, hook one side up and then turn your lights on...let them run for about 5 minutes, and then feel the lenses...you'll see that the HID lens is much cooler. Plus...HIDs just look so much more sexy!!! 8000k FTW! If you want...you can PM me with any questions..I'll be happy to help you out man.
