From what I see it looks like you just painted the inside housing black or am I missing something? Thanks

you cant get them without the amber lens...

Ecaulk took mine apart and painted them black and removed the amber lens and tinted the side marker. Everything i asked him to do.

I'm looking into attempting these and have viewed the thread regarding how to open them. can you provide any additional info that I may need to know as far as tinting and removing the amber?

the headlights are manufactured with the tinted lens, we did not tint them.

you can purchase them with or without tinted lenses.

I bought these from Amazon:


They are black Depo lights without the amber turn signal reflectors. The first pair I received had fingerprints/smudges on the inside of the lens, but I was able to exchange them through Amazon for another pair with no defects.

They look better with chrome/amber turnsignal bulbs. I had some but they blew out in a day >.<

Search for "stealth 3157 bulbs" and you should see what I mean. They are chrome bulbs that blink orange. It gets rid of the orange reflection in the bowl from normal amber bulbs.

Those are fine if you're ok with the turn signal being amber, but the OP didn't want them to be orange he wanted completely blacked out.

Ecaulk is correct. You cant simply but the ones he made me. I heard the depo lenses crack with too much heat and leak too so i didnt use them.

Well I just learned that It will be a pain in the... to add halos on mine and nearly impossible to add demon eyes so I will be getting new retros. Will be buying a set of headlights to change the lenses out since mine started to peel
