Yes the plastic that goes over the engine by default (stock)

yea just take it off. i dont think its for silencing but more for protection? or maybe to hide the hideous coil packs on top? or something like that. and if it is for silencing it doesnt do a very good job because the engine didnt get any louder when it came off.
