I have a Cobalt LT Coupe and can't stand seeing the ugly muffler in the rear of my car:



To replace this, do I have to get a whole new exhaust system, or can I just get smaller of nicer looking muffler with some exhaust tips? (I know very little about exhaust)

I know I could get a new bumper which would cover this up, but unfortunately I can't afford that.

you could go to a local shop and ask them to put on a axel back muffler for pretty cheap. then im sure you can find someones used catback that looks good for cheap here too.

but the answer is no you dont NEED a new exhaust. but why not buy one

 

You can just get yourself a muffler and an exhaust tip.

You can have the muffler moved back if you wanted, and have the tip extended, so it isnt visible..
