exhaust tip

hey guys, i have an ss/sc and i was wondering if there was any way to keep the exhaust tip clean longer than a couple days..everytime i wash the car(like every week) i have to polish the tip with a metal polisher to get all the black crap off. i also have a mustang gt with an exhaust system and i rarely have to do this to that. just wondering if it can be helped with anything.. thanks

From what I've seen the car naturally runs rich, looks like a future of scrubbing.

I have an aftermarket stainless tip (straight cut rolled edge double wall) and it gets a lot of carbon buildup on the bottom lip. I blast it with Simple Green a few times a week while washing my car and I still can't get it totally clean. Eh, whatcha gonna do?

i use some kind of polish in a green bottle...ill check on the name tomorrow, its something weird with an n and i 7 i think lol. it works REALLY good and brings it back to the brand new chrome look, but it sucks having to do it every week or so.
