fake car alarm
fake car alarm
i have wanted a fake car alarm (just a blinking red light) for a while. now i ordered some blinking red lights the problem i have is making them blink when the car is off.
I have two options:
1. Wire the positive to a constant positive power like the battery and the negative to the igition switch.
2. wire the positive to the battery and the negative to a negative point on the car and throw in a switch.
My question is, has anyone done this and how have you done it. If you had piks can you please send them. If not im pretty good with the wiring, i just wanna see how yall have done this if you have.

I did this back when I had my stratus.. very simple:
Find something in your fuse panel that gets power when the ignition is off and DOESNT get power when you turn the ignition on. And the other to a ground. I can't remember what got power when the car was off (maybe a clock/radio or something) but just search around with a test light.
