Finally after 6 months....

some actual progress has been made and I will have the car back in a couple days. The body guy has been taking his sweet ass time with her but she is just about done. There will be a silver pin stripe added between the 2 colors. The door jams will also be getting 2 toned, but something with the way the paint cures it will have to wait about a week. At least I will get to have her during that time. Here are some pics of my baby.

I will have the car back for awhile on Monday hopefully so I will take some full body shots and post them up. Will also post final pin stripe and jam pics when done. Let me know what you think

The side skirts and bumpers are being painted separately. I have a zen front bumper and N1 sides and rear that will be all orange except for the cross member on the front bumper will be black. To do a body kit right you do not paint it while its on the car.

He was going to but they are held in with 4 clips and a ton of glue. When he tried to remove them they wouldn't budge. He was afraid of possibly breaking the window trying so he just masked around them.

they are suppose to be cut out like you would with a windshield or rear glass. if he would of kept prying you would have cracked the window for sure.

Thanks for all the great comments. I went up to the shop today and actually saw the car in person. It looks 10X better than the pics. The orange really pops out against the black and makes it look like a totally new color I have not seen before. I think it makes the copper color of the paint show more. The bumpers were going to get sanded and hopefully painted today. Have not heard what actually got accomplished. It was extremely hot out today so not sure if that may have hindered anything. The car itself was still in the booth so I did not take any additional pics. Hopefully will be able to get additional pics tomorrow

Here are a couple of pics I took while I was at the shop today. The bumpers are still being worked on no real new progress to remote. I got a couple different angles and areas people were talking about. Enjoy

This all came about after an insurance claim was filed in the winter for a canopy tent falling on the car. There was extensive body work that needed to be done and the entire car needed to be repainted. The insurance company paid close to $4000. Of that $950 went directly to me to replace my CF hood. I however had him refinish the hood for $200. An addition $250 of that went to cover my deductible. The other $500 went along with $800 out of pocket, $1300 to cover the extra paint work(pin strip, jams, body kit) & fitment and installation of the body kit.

did he not fill in the holes in your trunk? It looks like he painted over plugs you had in there.

The "plugs" your referring to is just masking tape on the underside of the trunk deck. The holes are not filled because I am putting my black low pro spoiler back on it.
