Fixing Headlights After Retro Build

Hey Everyone!

I did a retro build a few months ago and after reassembling the headlights I discovered that there is ALOT of scratches an dust particles on the inside lense. Plus there is dust on the inside lens of the projector.

I have tried disassembling the headlights and wiping the lenses very diligent but to know end will it come out.

Im wondering if there is any way that I could buff out the imperfections........or will I have to buy all new headlights?

Does anyone have any advice or know and links that have instructions on how to do a retro build and minimize dust and imperfections.

Thank You

You should be able to buff the lens if you take it appart again, for the projector i don't know, maybe but just try to clean it gently. Should be good after that.

You could try buying some new lenses, small chance you'll find them but it might be worth a shot.

Also, would he be able to angle in a buffer? Seems like a hard angle to work with once the lens is off.

Buy a glass specific cleaning towel to remove the dust. You should be able to separate the lens of the projector and clean behind. It's clear you need to find a dust free area to do this in. Also hit the front of the lens with 2k grit then 2.5k grit and follow up with a headlight polishing kit

For the lens, go to your autozone or shop like that and buy a polishing kit for your headlights, you can do that using a good drill. For the projector, do like Ecaulk said, buy a specific cleaning towel :P
