Fixing Scratches and Scuffs on Polyurethane Bumpers/Skirts

Hi Everyone,
I have about 8 scratches/slight scuffs (the poly has been grooved slightly) by brushing up against a metal support beam (long-story ). Does anyone know an effective way to clean up these issues on my SS/SC's poly bumper and skirts? I was thinking of trying to sand JUST the scratches down, mask around the scratch areas and hit it with a spray can of GM color-matched paint and then some clear. Would this be a bad idea? Please advise on any accepted methods of repairing damage to polyurethane.

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

PS: where can I buy the laser-blue metallic spray paint? Thanks!
