i have a 2010 2lt coupe and ever since ive had it. to use the foglights i always have to manually hit the button for them to come on. when i turn the car off and restart it the lights are back off and dont come back on until i hit the button again

i just picked up a rental car cause mine is in the shop because someone keyed it and i was given the same car (2010 2lt) and i used the foglights and when i turned it off and restarted it. the lights were automatically on. cause i had left them on when i turned the car off.

i have hids in my fogs right now but before then i had the same issue. any idea why they dont stay on like this other cobalts lights?

 

mines always been manual. i've been tempted to run the signal wire to my headlights so whenever the lights are turned on the fogs are on.

 

oh ok, was wondering if it was just mine that is messed up or something lol

The fog lights don't stay on. U have to push the button every time u want them on.

 

I gotta push my fog light button 2, but when I had an HHR lt(2010 rental) it did the same thing as your rental, the fog lights stayed on
