All you need is a Ratchet with 10mm socket

pop hood and reach in through the opening for the hood release, you will see two small bolts behind the bowtie. These are 10mm nuts and need to be removed to take bowtie off. Use the ratchet or as i did, simply attach a small extension and turn with finger (they aren't that tight) take car to not push too hard and crack your grill or fascia. Save these nuts.

If I remember correctly it may have 4 holes but you only use two of the four. I think it may be used for an universal bow tie for other chevy's.

you are correct. the other 2 are covered by the emblem and people constantly say theres only 2 there total. now some people have filled there holes and put the ss badge on there. and some just position it to cover them.

lol, why can't you just go to your car and do it yourself? It should take like 5 minutes. I tried searching google for you but came up short.

How can you mess up? Open the hood, get a 10mm socket. Then go behind the grille and you will SEE two bolts. You loosen them, then pull off the bow tie. That's pretty much it.

OP, man up. Tools are made for men. get a 1/4" socket wrench, a 10mm socket, stick your hand down where the hood latch is and loosen the 2 nuts, pull the bowtie off, go "ohh i like it" or "oh that looks fucked up since theres 4 random holes and an outline of a bowtie in plastic now." It will take you 3 minutes. 2 of which will be finding the socket wrench and socket.

be careful though, cause its dumb how gm has it. instead of actual threads, its just plastic. and the nut actually makes the threads the first time its screwed on. so if you keep taking it on and off a lot it'll eventually wear itself down. so take it off. decide if you...yeah **** it too much effort to type. goodluck

So two more holes detracts you from taking it off?
