Front End Ideas?

Front End

I am thinking of changing the front of my 09 2LT a bit. I have seen folks here talk about changing the front bumper to put in factory style fog lights.

What would be involved in changing the front bumper? I know first you would have to get a bumper (most likely the junk yard, get it painted to match, get a set of lights to fit the holes, etc). What would be involved in actually changing the bumper? Any Youtube videos? Is this something a novice could do without wrecking something (keep in mind this car is still under warranty), or might I want to have a body shop do it?

Also, I saw a Youtube video the other day of a Cobalt with what looked like a factory chrome grille. What online stores might carry a chrome grille (I think I could put that on myself)?

the 09 2lt's should have the 'ss' front fascia, the only thing you could add is the front lip from the ss models

the chrome grille looks horrible on these cars, you could easily install it yourself, but i would never do it

Your car should look like this (with exception these are the 18" wheels and you have 17s):

Hmmm, my 2LT is a four-door, but I don't have the fog light holes. I do have the 17 inch wheels.

Here are a few pictures of my car, just add a bra to the front, and the bike rack is off with the road season over. Got it new back in March.

Just to make sure I don't have a 1LT, but the paper work says 2LT, it does have blutooh and the top radio...:

those are 16s..

is this a 2LT?

Ok you had to get this when you bought/ordered the car:

Sport Appearance Package, Includes rear decklid spoiler, front fog lamps, P205/50R17 blackwall tires, 17" polished aluminum wheels, chrome exhaust tip, front and rear body-color sport fascias, body-color lower rocker moldings, White-faced sport gauges, leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio and cruise controls, Bluetooth for phone and leather-wrapped shifter lever. $995

basically for $1000, you got 17"s, SS front fascia (minus the lip), fog lights, side and rear moldings... it would of looked just like a Sport or SS/NA model. Well worth the $1,000

Not all 2LT's have the package. In fact, very few do... I haven't seen one nor pictures of one.

Well, the inside has:

leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio and cruise controls, Bluetooth for phone and leather-wrapped shifter leve

The decklid spoiler (I did replace it with the Unique Wing)

No chrome exhaust tip, and you can see the wheels.

Ok, now I remember this car came with the MY LINK package "that includes a stereo with USB input jack, Bluetooth, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, OnStar and 16" alloy wheels." It also gets XM radio free for a year, inaddation to OnStar.

I should have gotten something with the Sport Appearance Package now that I think about it, but all the rebates (extra for sitting on the dealers lot for so long) on this one were way too good to pass up.

So, back to my main question. How hard (or is it worth it) to replace the front fascia to get OEM fog light type mount????
