I am interested in putting some kind of screen or net in the front bumper where the intercooler is. I have been looking everywhere to see of an alternative but have come up with nothing. I was wondering if anyone had done this or knows of a place(website or forum) where I can find a metal mesh scrren or something for my intercooler cause it is already getting a bug build up and its really annoying.

QFT. You get like 6 huge pieces for dirt cheap. I'm trying to find a good, durable way of painting it though and so far no luck. D:

 

x2 on the gutter gaurd... works very well and is super cheap!!

easy way to paint it. Use several light coats of self etching primer, then pain whatever color you want. i used the dupli color for wheels (gunmetal) then cleared it with wheel clear for duribility... turned out awesome!!! PM me if you have questions

Gutter guard is cheaper but i hit a seagaul(30mph) with my 2.4 lowre grill and it did not break! I would have killed my intercooler if i just had gutter guard!!!

 

then you didn't have it installed right.. i've hit rocks on the highway and it's fine and i've had it on pretty much a year it was one of the first mods i did it held through all of last winter and looks mint... apparently having my shop put it on was a smart idea...

 

Do RLs have the lower grill option like cobalts?(2.4 - 2.0?)

there are howtos on lower and upper grilles. you can also buy some nice upper and lower grille sets.
