front license plate

front license plate

My cobalt came with a really dumb looking front license plate holder and i have no idea how to get it off. Its not held on by screws....does anyone konw????

rivots...

I had to install one due to Illinios state law, brought up an exploded diagram of the mount, fasteners are rivots, drill them out like the fella said

I guess I got lucky, the dealer where I bought my balt doesn't put them on. I did buy a used 98 camaro once that had the plastic piece in the bumper that said camaro and the guess drilled some holes and put it on while I was signing papers, I went off on them when I saw it.

be careful when drilling them out, the head on one of my rivets came loose and was just spinning, made a mark in my bumper, but the plugs i put in covered it up.

just a heads up

Sucks for people that get the front bumper with the lisence plate slot and dont need it.
