Front windshield tint

I recently got my car tinted 20% on everything, but nothing on the windshield. Does anyone have theirs tinted? I'm thinking about going back and getting maybe like 50% or something on the windshield. Would this mess with the photo-sensor for the lights much? I don't want anything crazy dark on the front, just enough to keep the heat out a little more and complete the appearance.

I always debated putting 50% or even 35% on my front window. Never got around to it, though...

I dunno about tinting the windshield, the side are okay tinted cause you dont want anyone so really see in but the windshield you wanna see out of. Id say just get the strip on the top of the glass done. And check with the laws, I think any sort of tint past the AS1 mark on the windshield is illegal in Ontario.

Do 50% any more will be too noticable, and too dark to see out of... my audi has 50 and 15 everywhere else

Yeah I think I'm gonna get 50. It won't be too noticeable, and no police officers have given me any trouble for my 20 on the front sides, and I see a lot of them at work, so I should be good. Thanks for the input guys!

I live in Indiana and have 15% all the way around and a strip on the front. 35% is the legal limit but I've had my windows tinted for a year and a half and I've never gotten pulled over for it.

Strips are gay. Either tint the whole thing or don't tint it at all.

I believe in Ontario (chime in if I'm mistaken) there's no actual cut and dry rule, the officer just has to be able to see if the passenger is male/female and if they're wearing a seat belt, and they will deem it okay.

From the outside it actually looks like my windshield is tinted just due to the lack of light in the car from the other windows, but I just want to block out some more heat and make it look better from the inside

One thing I should point out. If your light sensitive (like I am and also how I got my dr's note for my tint) and have a fairly bright head unit the light I find reflects back from the windshield when tinted. Mine's easy nuff to fix as I can just shut my screen off. Just something to think about

And no there is no cut and dry rule for tint in ontario. It's all officer discretion.
