So, I've looked for threads of this topic and found little. Maybe I haven't found one thread that would answer my question, but I tried...

Anyway, I have been wanting to swap trunk lids with a G5. I've had the chance to look at the G5 trunk, and everything would bolt up fine. Except for the wiring, but that is fine.

All I want to do is get rid of the two inner reverse lights. Except, I would actually just have to move them. This is where I am stuck. I want them to be unnoticeable, but still operational and legal. So, do I have to have the lights in a certain area on the car? I've heard things like "They have to be above the license plate." True? And would anyone have an idea on where to put the reverse lights? I know the G5 has them on the bumper on the sides of the license plate. I would do that, but I don't want to screw up my bumper. (Which I know I will, I have very little fabrication skills.)

Here is what I would like it to look like... Opinions? Thank you!

Yes, that I know... I said I need to move them, not just get rid of them... I need to figure out a way to place them maybe in the bumper like the G5, or somewhere else. So, I came here for ideas... Since I am stuck...

 

Personaly I like the G back end better then the balt. But you will have a hard time keeping it legal unless you swap the rear bumper aswell to keep the reverse light. But then you would have to change the tail lights aswell. Unless you can fap the reverse lights up some where else.

 

The rear looks HUGE without anything on the trunk.

i think you should look into finging a way to take the outers and move them into the center, but at the same time have them where they are now, like go get some from a junk yard, that way uou can run your brake and driving ones to all four light, w/out having on smaller than the other...vette style, than use the third brake light as your reverse, i mean you will already have 4 brake lights, so i dont think ud need a 5th

 

get white foglight style bulbs and mount them under the bumper. so when they turn on the light shins out and down from under the bumper. people will know you are reversing because the white light will turn on and shine behind your car still

 

i might be sellin my trunk im about a month, only if this company im talking to agrees to also make me a carbon fiber trunk
