i made my own custom needles on my escort back in the day and i also had an over lay!

though why would any company make something thats already that universal, "specific" for a certain car?

i mean, how different are gauge needles from one car to the next anyway

i just realized they are VW beetle needles.. i was in one at work... centers look identical

-Size of the center shaft . All the air cores and stepper motors do not have a universally sized center shaft.

- Guage needles are calibrated . If you change the weight of the needle at all , it will throw off the accuracy of the air core or stepper motor driving it . Their weighted underneath the center cap most of the time .

I wouldnt use universal needles . Theres more engineering involved than how it physical appearence .
