well i got bored and never really liked my tripple pillar cause the top gauge is kinda to in your face..so i been workin on my dual gauge pod...its not all the way done yet i still need another good sanding on it but its almost there....it is made of abs plastic

 

that looks awesome i wish i knew how to make one lol

 

its not really hard its more a pain the in ass all the sanding and filling holes....i'm gonna attempt to warp this is carbonfiber

 

what materials did you use? what is abs plastic?

 

its just abs plastic shaving...impulseballer did it the same way...mix the shaving with acetone and when the acetone disolves it harding back to the solid plastic and then sand

 

u should make these and sell 'em, i'd buy one...

how confident are you on making these things??? it's sort of a one shot deal with this...

 

i can do it no problem...it took me a week to make this...but i just workin on it on and off in my spare time cause i work 10 hours a day at my normal job

i'm hopin i'll be able to wrap this in carbonfiber...i'm also thinkin of wrapin the tripple pillar in carbonfiber too

 

if your thinking of selling this why don't you make a mold of the original and then when your making new ones they come out exactly the same everytime.

 

i'm gonna be checkin intoo it but injection molds are very pricey...it probly be easyer for me just to make them

I've made about 30 of them so far for members on here. Sanding is fun isnt it

 

iv been looking online for a while on how to do this. I work with fiberglass and body filler, but i have never tryed this stuff

 

its not that hard...like mklurey said the sanding is the big pain in the ass

i pm'd ya...i need to get some spare bezels..i'm gonna make a few more of these pods...plus i have a buddy that works at a plastic shop and we are gonna try and make a mold

 

you should make one that is more of an overlay if possible. that way you dont need the bezel to make it. then you can mass produce them. i dono... just a thought

 

i really dont mind making them cause i get bored and its something good to do
