Gauge's from Malibu/HHR

This is sort of a clone from averagewhiteboy's thread. I much prefer the guages from the Malibu or HHR, anyone know if they would work in my 07 LT3?

I'm really doubting it but you never know.

Work or Fit? Im pretty sure they will work if you wire them, but im not to sure if they will fit while they work.

Both would be preferable. They seem about the same size but I've never really measured them :P

still should work but you will have to retro fit it to fit, you should buy it and see if you can get it to fit, and if not you can sell it on ebay lol

the malibu may work because its almost the same size as the cobalt but im pretty sure the HHR is way to small, unless you did modifacations to your dash, i would prefer the malibu hhr is to clustered for me

All this talk of "retrofit" and "custom manufacturing" puts this well outside my skill range. Still, if I had $85 I would conceder buying it and paying someone else to fit it up for me.

AzCobalt: you mean these? They dont look much different from the ones already in the cobalt.

HHR Cluster...

Cobalt Cluster...

Looks to me like they are a different shape, the mounting tabs are different and the plugs are different. Not to mention the HHR gauge pod has a Temp gauge on it which the cobalt doesn't have so that probably wouldn't work and who knows if the DIC would work....

The ecm is not what powers the cluster though , the body control module does ....and the HHR and Cobalt do not share BCM's . With GM's latest electronics it would be a crapshoot at best getting to work correctly . The outputs from the Cobalt BCM to the cluster will likely not be calibrated correctly to the shorter sweeps of the hhr gauges which means the gauges wouldnt be even close to being true . And given the fact that even within the Cobalt , there are fuel gauge calibration differences between 05 and 06 , the fuel gauge possibly would not work right either .

If u get a cluster and want some help...pm me ...I can point u in the right direction on what u need to do wiring wise . Im pretty versed with newer GMlan electronics and have pulled of a couple swaps that "shouldnt" have worked .
