Aww

The candy cobalts gotta be over the top you know that. Im in envy of your turbo, dyno numbers, such limited factory production, 2 tone seats, wheels, and your extra doors
But i got the paintjob and noise maker so HA!

I don't see why having them pieces would add rice to this car, it is fast from the factory, plus whatever mods it has, even faster. I say win for being unique inside and out. nuff said.

The only rice comments I saw were about a civic, and the other was sarcasm out of jealousy haha

VG makes the Cobalt slippery to the wind by reducing drag...guys at GM Aero Lab are still studying this but most seems to think it doesn't hurt and the jury is still out on what speed it's effective...but it makes a great shark deterrent...

^lmao! whatever it makes my car look like a guido with spikey hair

But i started off this day PISSED cause when i got to the shop, i looked at my spoiler and it has a dent in it from it laying upside down on the rack, and the support form the rack just put a huge dent in it. So took me a long time to try to fix that, and at the end of the day its still not right. So tommorow the car will be painted but the hood and trunk will be done seperately the next day. Pisses me off, but not a huge deal, the candy is the most important. The black hood and trunk will be easy to spray especially off the car. ANYWAYS:

And got the car scuffed up more, blown off, and 90% masked up for paint tommorow

And got the door glass out:

is there a benefit for not taking the lips/sideskirts off to paint the car?

yea when you paint candy, you want everythign that has to be painted done at the same time. Any difference in overlap, or mixing, or trigger of the gun, can result in a different shade of color. If i paint them off the car and dont use the same overlap as the car, they can be a different shade of orange and look like ass. Its like spraying nightshades on a huge surface. now imagine taking that surface and breaking it up to pieces and nightshading them seperately and putting them all back together and hoping there all the same exact shade of tint. theyll probobly be suddel differences, you can get lucky and get it right, but chances are no. Only things that are getting sprayed off the car is the door handles and mirror covers. The door handles have so much contour to them they wont be noticed if there was any difference, and the mirror covers are not laying right up next to a panel where any difference could be seen. Theres the black plastic and the angle it will be viewed at compared to the car that breaks it up.
