Getting an aftermarket Deck to fit *****FIXED WITH PX***

I put this here and not in A/V because its really more for appearence.

I just finnished putting in my new double DIN radio (<3) and I bought the face kit and everything but its not fitting flush, the faceplate is like bowed over it somewhat, if you know what I mean.

the problem is there's NOOOO way that radios going firther back, its already jammed as far back as humanly possible...

any ideas? or just live with it being out slightly? I really dont know what to do

I got it in this morning, thanks to the advice in this thread I went out and hacked that plastic crap out of the back, unbolted that metal bar and took it out, the radio slid in nice and far and sits with more room and is flush with the dash now
Oh and dont mind the dirty floor, its winter

no I didnt cut anything out from behind the radio, I dont have a pic ATM (sorry) but really all it is, is that the radio face juts out too far and I wanted to know if there's anything I can remove in that cavity in the dash to slide it in further

There's a plastic bar that goes across the back you need to cut that out to get it to sit back farther. Are you able to get it bolted in against the dash. If it's sticking out too far you shouldn't.

ya I can get it bolted up to the dash, its not sticking out TOO far, maybe like 1/8" I just didnt know if it should be sticking out AT ALL, I really didnt want to have to chop anything out of my car, but if its possible I will go out tomorrow, pop the unit out(not that big a deal) and chop that bar out
